1. eat

Vancouver is a terrific place to eat-- check out a guide to Vancouver's restaurants here. If you're interested in brunch, we recommend the Roundel Cafe or Bandidas

2. drink

The craft beer scene in Vancouver is always growing. Many are located in our neighbourhood and on a nice day, we like to bike between breweries. One of our favourite breweries is Strange Fellows. We also love 33 Acres, which is located near Heritage Hall.

3. caffeinate

Our go-to coffee shop is the JJ Bean on Commercial Drive. Some special stops include Le Marche St George and Pure Bread (which is famous for its baked goods).

4. hike

(1) For a peaceful walk (or trail run) in the woods, Lynn Headwaters Regional Park in North Vancouver has a large and well-maintained trail network.

(2) For a short hike with a top-notch view, check out Quarry Rock in Deep Cove. Afterward, treat yourself to a doughnut at Honey Doughnuts and Goodies.

(3) If you'd like to challenge yourself and enjoy a cold pint once you reach the peak, check out the Grouse Grind in North Vancouver (also referred to as "Mother Nature's StairMaster.")

5. WALk around town

You can't beat the beauty of the Seawall, which also takes you past some of the best beaches in the city. On a sunny day, we enjoy strolling up and down Commercial Drive. To get off the beaten track, try a self-guided walking tour of Vancouver's murals and street art.
